(Li.2) Now it looks like a house – at least when you are indoors

August is holiday time in Italy and everything and everybody, not dealing with tourism, will close down or go on holiday.

But now a lot has been done indoor. All indoor walls and ceilings have been plastered with mortar, something they do very efficient in Italy. Also the very special concrete-installation-layer is now done and the floors ready for the floor-heating construction.

The outdoor work has been interrupted due to something quite unexpected. All the pillars need on the outside some insulation and because of the stone-decoration the thickness can only be 3 cm. For getting the Italian Class A-insulation-certificate you have to use a special type of foam to be manufactured in a factory and the delivery time will be a couple of months – at least. Well the Italian Law holds many surprises that may cause delays. This was not the first one and maybe not the last one.

The people on the construction site are so efficient and if the law-makers were like that, it would be a lot easier to be a foreigner buying a house in Italy.
